Ten Qoo (sky lounge)

Izakaya’s Ten Qoo (sky lounge) Izakaya Den has received numerous design awards, including the coveted Mayor’s Design Award of Denver. Designed by owner Toshi Kizaki and Roth Sheppard Architects, the restaurant’s multi-level interior is a blend of east and west aesthetics incorporating traditional elements alongside modern design. A glass enclosed elevator and grand staircase are encased by a 20-foot bamboo garden and open up to the “Ten Qoo” sky lounge. This dramatic second floor features a retractable glass ceiling offering open sky during all seasons. A large drinking bar features traditional sake barrels perched above the bar with intricate woodwork. Intimate dining areas incorporate illuminated walls with traditional Japanese design elements. The front dining area features floor to ceiling windows which pivot to create open-air breezes and generous light. Master Chef Toshi Kizaki created a signature global menu indicative of “Izakaya” style, including an extensive sushi menu featuring daily fish shipments from the fish market in southern Japan, and a personally curated sake collection.
