HENSHIN

Situated at the three highest floors of The Westin Jakarta, Henshin serves authentic Peruvian Japanese cuisine and remarkable rooftop bar experience, overlooking spectacular city views. This multi-level food and beverage destination – directly accessed through the ground floor lobby – offers guests a bar & lounge on the 67th floor and a fine-dining restaurant on the 68th and 69th floors.

On the 68th and 69th floor, Henshin showcases the evolution of Nikkei cuisine can be understood through the idea of ‘Henshin’ or 変身, a Japanese word meaning ‘transformation’, led by Head Chef Akira Oshita. Born from the Japanese community in Peru, Nikkei cuisine fuses fresh Peruvian ingredients with refined Japanese techniques, resulting in bold umami flavors and a perfectly balanced taste and texture. Some of Henshin signatures include Tuna Tiradito, Classic Ceviche, Lobster Chupe and Nikkei tasting menus.

While on the 67th floor, guests will be greeted with a lively ambience and given the choice to refresh and relax on either the indoor lounge or al fresco rooftop bar. With signature music from house DJs, guests can enjoy specially crafted cocktails made by our mixologist paired with options of Nikkei bites.

Henshin has just recently been honored as one of World Luxury Restaurant Awards in 2025 in three categories, including Global Winner on Best Luxury Scenic Setting, followed by Global Winner on Best Nikkei Cuisine category and Best Luxury Specialty Restaurant in Asia. Previously, Henshin has also been named as one of Asia’s Top 80 Fine Dining and Bar in 2024 and Asia’s Top 80 Fine Dining in 2023.
